I draw your attention to this:   https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=97391.msg2071385#msg2071385   if you are keen to get an ACME jersey.

Hi Tom,

Think I'll have a ride over tonight if that's OK, no WAG at home, gave the swannie some time off to go to Guildford, normal service resumed this weekend.

Any particular curfew time?, I am guessing its about 1-1.5hr ride from here, so it would be 20:30 - 21:00 would that be to late?
Regards,

Bah - made the mistake of formatting my Garmin, thinking it would only take 10 mins... that was at 18:35, and its still going... suspect I wont be out tonight afterall! Perhaps tomorrow?

You can find Dunmow without a Garmin!
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

We are planning on visiting the Angel and Harp tomorrow [Saturday] lunchtime, if anyone would like to join us, and in the process collect ACME jerseys.

Another smashing evening awheel and apubbe. We found an empty room at the White Hart which was ideal for trying on ACME jerseys - well done Tomsk!

On my way home, pedalling up London Hill I managed to jam the chain between the freewheel and spokes. Thank you jibers for stopping to help.

Serious point coming up and a top tip for long chilly rides, socks with toes are much warmer than the conventional design. Not sure whether you can get them in more sober colours.

True but I reckon socks with toes would be warmer when combined with shoes. Also, I've also seen some fancy running shoes with separate toes so perhaps I've stumbled over the next big thing!

I remember andygates doing the Dun Run in a pair of Vibram 5 finger shoes back in ~2009.

The verdict seemed to be that they were comfortable as you like, but stink your feet up something rotten.

I like the idea of finger (toe) shoes. I can't imagine The Current Mrs R being too thrilled, she hates my bright red The North Face Hedgehog shoes  ;D
