Ads aimed at cyclists will still be required to show cyclists wearing helmets, is my take.

Could always write, asking whether their bikes are unusually dangerous, given the extra precautions they show taken by the average rider ;D

I've said this elsewhere, but I still wonder whether advertisers won't play safe by showing helmets by default. After all, their main concern is with getting their messages across. And the ban has had far more media attention than its rescinding is likely to get, so many people may not ever hear that it's no longer an issue.

... or indeed irrelevant, as the rather hopeless campaign of which the original ad was a typically pointless part fizzled out even before its planned end date last September.
