Truth be told I was going the other way and  had to push up that one but going the other way with a different bike....

Seeing a sign like that really throws the gauntlet down, IMO. I wonder if anyone ever walks?

I think Smalldean Lane should have a sign at the bottom saying, "Danger.  Steep Upgrade.  Rippled Surface.  Gravel.  Dismount and Walk Bicycle Unless You Think You're Hard Enough.  But Believe Us, You Aren't".

The gradient signs say "Warning - Danger Of Death"
