I'm writing up a SMART based training/riding regime that I can follow next year as prep. for LEL2013.

Hanging over, went out last night, got very very very drunk, managed to lose my brother, staggered home and fell asleep, woke at 6:30.

Head banging, feel like I have a bad cold and also feel like I am going to throw up any second....

Looking at the ice and deciding that guitar is a better option than cycling this morning. A review of this will be held at 11.00am

Still waiting for the boiler fixer to turn up 'after one o'clock'. Getting dark now so I won't be able to get out today. Bugger. A ride tomorrow will be a priority.

Looking on the bright side, being trapped indoors means I have hoovered parts of the house that have not been visited in errr some time. Won't need to do that again before Christmas, New Year, Easter....

I'm eating too much after our concert. I've been engaged in conversation with Teddy Taylor and it was much more congenial than the last time we met when I chaired a school governors' meeting he attended just before the  1997 general election.

Waiting for a set of halogen lamps to put enough oomph through a set of solar panels into the battery of a satellite, so we can take it outside into the sun, and carry out an ACS (Attitude Control System) test.  Or not.  I've been waiting for this test to be done since Tuesday.  This is pretty much the last chance they have to do it, and then I'm off to the airport.
Actually, it is rocket science.

I'm now twiddling my thumbs in San Francisco domestic departures, because I got here very early, and both check-in and security where quiet and efficient. It took me around twenty minutes from getting off the airport train to being in the departure area. I guess that's far better than it being very slow though!

Me,my kit & my bike are ready to ride from Derby on the Belton Mince Pie ride but I've wimped out due to the roads hereabout being iffy. :(
I've done this ride before & was looking forward to the route, the company(you know who you are) & the mince pie & craic at Belton.

No snow in Derby.  Roofs white with frost, not anything worse.

Not even frosty in Loughborough and the rainfall radar looks like this morning's showers will (mostly) miss us.

I might have to pootle over to Belton and bag a few mince pies for myself.
