Sitting placed in perfect statis between the force vectors of (a) several hundred post-hol work emails, (b) preparation for next week's ( making for the eeek!! part of week) jaunt, (c) tidying a pile of teetering crap (given that the inverse square applies, the cr@p can of course be located very very very nearby)

I suspect a cup of tea and a biscuit might help retain the balance.

It's a skill.

Saying goodbye to the Big Blue sofa, much used during its lifetime for kipping on by several OTP, and celebrating the departure of the nasty nasty windows. And thinking about sticking a jumper on, although I need to head into town soon and sort some money stuff out to pay for the unfortunately-rather-more-tricky-than-we-had-hoped repair to the leaky roof.

This week is going to be expensive.

at heathrow. Off to chicago for a week of work, then home via a weekend on the west coast to meet my new niece (who will be 2 weeks old by then) I hate flying but this is a *good* reason to do it

I rushed off for a bike ride instead. Much more pleasant, even with the knee.

I'm currently nursing a bruised foot.

The cleat on my sidi boot has been pushing the backplate through the shoe. I didn't realise this until a ball of fluid has appeared on my foot . It seems to hurt more now I've noticed the swelling

Still on the bike tonight for a ride though, last one before my trip

I am so glad that we have a pomposity and other boring issues board.

In real life news: I'm currently preparing supper with a lot of mushrooms and minced beef. Left my lunch behind today so I'm more hungry than usual. I then have to have a minor fettle so I can start cycle commuting tomorrow.
