The author of the Inspector Banks novels has died

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2022/oct/07/peter-robinson-creator-of-the-inspector-banks-novels-dies-aged-72

I think I’ve read all of them, but was beginning to tire of them, so this’ll save me having to decide if I want to read any more (though the next - and now last) is due to b3 published in March next year,  so maybe it’ll get polished up by Rankin or somesuch and still come out.

Would be a neat conclusion if $GHOST_WRITER were to have Banks retire, coz he must be getting close to that age by now.  Not that retirement has kept Rebus down…
