iPhoto update not recognised? (OSX)
« on: 15 October, 2012, 09:19:41 pm »
A couple of weeks ago App Store told me that there was an update available for iPhoto (iMac, OX 10.8.2). Everything went ok with no errors, and iPhoto reports it's on 9.4.1 which is the current version. However, App Store now says both (a) there's 1 update available for iPhoto, but also (b) it's already installed. I seem to have reached a Schrödinger-esque state of update both installed and not installed. Confused!. I've restarted the iMac (complete shut down & restart) to no avail. Irritating and untidy rather than actually stopping me doing anything - but any suggestions as to how to synchronise things?

TIA

It gave me errors too. You need to install 10.8.2 and restart first, then iPhoto should update properly. I can't say I'm overly enamoured with the software updates via the app store.
