That "muggins" bloke on the bridge with Deano.....looks like a right" chancer" don't you think Mr. Bunbury?

Sorry, I labelled them the wrong way round. It's muggins and Deno rather than Deano and muggins.
S'okay, I recognised Deano so knew which one is him :)

Golden Gate Bridge from the approach to The Presidio

Golden Gate Bridge from, well, The Bridge.

Golden Gate Bridge from The Bridge but something fuzzy got in the way.

and

a couple of bridges over the Mississippi at Baton Rouge.

Another bridge over the Mississippi, this time at Memphis.

A bridge about an hours drive from Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa.

Someone bungee jumping off the last bridge.

And that inspired a song?! My god, they must be hard up for inspiration down there!

That's not the original Tallahatchie bridge, it's a replacement.

Lotsa swoopy, curvaceous bridges here: New Interchange A1(M) / M62 Ferrybridge:: OS grid SE4624 :: Geograph Britain and Ireland - photograph every grid square!

Next time I've got SWMBO in the car I'll try and take some pics from road level - IMO, the Ferrybridge Interchange is truly a thing of beauty (and there's some similar concrete bridginess on the M621 round Leeds)

And, of course, this: Amazing Stuff! » Millau Viaduct

This bridge, which links East and West Rounton over the A19, is officially known as Wowbagger's Bridge, because I was the first cyclist ever to ride over it. Mrs. Wow was the second, because we were on the same bike.

Really? I ride over that bridge all the time! Well, fancy that. How nice that it was christened by you!

Next time give us a buzz and I shall come and join you :)

The newest crossing of the Derwent:

Action shot - taken from my boat!

The clearance between water level and underside of bridge deck had to be raised from the original design. The architects/designers hadn't provided enough headroom for us rowers!

Which one there are four river Derwents in England ?
The one that flows from Ladybower, through Chatsworth, Matlock and Belper, lending its name to the Latin for Derby ("Derwentio") on the way, then joining the Trent just upstream of Trent Lock.

I just found this press report.

New 2.5m bridge opens at A19 accident blackspot - TS Template

We actually crossed before the official opening and 5 cyclists all beat the cars to it.

Ooh me and my cousin could probably bag some of the ones on York bypass then. We used to ride on the bypass on a weekend or a night as kids before it was opened.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Ding! They've got wee slidey windows with a picture of a camera too, so you can get a clearer shot.

This is the one that stayed up for the last 120 years.. You can still see the stumps of the original next to the pillars.
