The newest crossing of the Derwent:

Action shot - taken from my boat!

The clearance between water level and underside of bridge deck had to be raised from the original design.  The architects/designers hadn't provided enough headroom for us rowers!

I've just had a dig around, and I'm rather disappointed by the poor standard of my bridgepr0n collection.

Severn Road Bridge (looking south) - 24 hours before Bristol's Wettest Bike Ride

Lymm - from the silly bit of Andygates's LEJOG

Slippery Stones (upper Derwent) - featuring Meegat and gerwinium of this parish, and the now legendary Postman Piers.  Actually quite a good bridge if seen from a better angle.

M25 at Rammey Marsh Lock (from the days when riding more than 40km was a lot, and I wanted proof that I'd made it all the way to the edge of civilisation).

A rare example of a Sustrans route feature designed with recumbents in mind on NCN1 at Coppermill Lane

I also have bridges *with* CrinklyLion:

...and a couple of photos taken *from* bridges:

Avoncliff - lovely light, shame about the exposure

City Airport from Woolwich Manor Way.  This is a fun one, as if you hang around for a while a plane will give you a free haircut.

I'll try harder in future.  I expect the first step will be replacing that b0rked camera.  The second step will be remembering to actually take photos with the replacement.  The third step will be getting a trice and a WARTY franchise and planning a barakta/cub friendly trip to Ironbridge.

I never knew CrinklyLion had such a thing about bridges !  I shall raid my photo collection and see what large spans I can find for her..

Dammit!  I was in Canterbury at the weekend and forgot to take a photo of a bus squeezing through the Westgate.  Actually, if I'd remembered I'd only have been thwarted by the lack of a camera.  Phone camera lacking the precision timing required to do that shot justice.  Unless it's a coach load of french tourists, in which case you could do a reasonable oil painting in the time it usually takes them to get it out.

From the other side (cyclist is Shen):

You might want to listen to the words Peter O:-)

I know the words, Rapples, I just think that a better artistic experience might have been had if the bridge chosen had been more photogenic, especially as it's immaterial which bridge you choose as long as it has the right number of syllables - even if it's a true story.  An allegory would work just as well.  I had in my mind one of those long, long rattle-y things across the wide, wide Mississippi.  Now the illusion is shattered and I may never be the same again.
Naw, I think the bridge is perfect.

Bleak, impersonal, utterly lacking in soul. Perfectly reflects the despair of suicide.
