BTW, I just looked up the fine for using earphones on a bike: 135€.

I wish they would extend it to pedestrians on cycle tracks.

A perfect example of an utterly stupid law. Deaf persons have never been banned from driving. Deafeningly loud car stereos are also legal and no one seems to care.

TBH I don't much care.  I don't listen to music on the bike and a smartphone is too fiddly. The éplucheurs (French peelers) are welcome to nab anyone who does.
