A mozzie in the meeting room last night.

Must have emerged from the same hidey-hole as the fly on our landing this evening: first one this spring.

I reported on a fly in my kitchen upthread a while ago...

I am sitting in the garden.  Either I am hallucinating or #2 son is cutting the grass.
Wow.
Without being asked.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Two swans making up to each other, one of which hadn't gone all white yet. N suggested the other one was a paedophile.

The Sand Martins have returned to the Thames near Surbiton and , there being no sand there , seem to be starting to nest in the holes in those large interlocking steel plates used to reinforce river banks , on Raven's Ait.

So by now your fly has procreated n times and you have  a quadrillion flies: must be you that supplies the rest of the UK with its post-winter flies. Now I come to think of it I think 'my' fly had a London postcode on it...

I collided with a golfball-sized bumblebee yesterday, at 40km/h. Struck me on the top lip, luckily my mouth was closed at the time!

We saw a huge bee at Fanny's Farm last weekend.

And, on the same ride, I was in collision with a large insect of some kind.  It hurt.

The jaspers are out in force already.  They never used to be a problem until September.  There was a huge one drinking out of my parents' pond this afternoon.

Ejected the first honey bee of the year from the kitchen.

Wore my shorts to do the gardening (22 deg C three days in a row).

Mowed the lawns (3 inches high in places) and strimmed the rough grass.

The first housemartins have appeared. Seems very early this year.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Saw some Swallows at a local nature reserve, and saw a few peewits  (aka Lapwings, aka Vanellus vanellus") flying about, and a male flashing his bum trying to attract a female...
