That's kind of him to make you more poachable by other companies. He does understand that Linkedin is just a big advertising site for staff not a marketing site for companies doesnt he ?

Actually, what he said was that he'd looked at our LinkedIn profile pictures and decided some didn't portray a very professional image and he was right. So he decided to do something about it - fair enough.
