Bike Tree
« on: 27 October, 2008, 07:46:47 pm »
I store my road bikes in the living room which has it's benefits, but they do take up a lot of room. Being free standing, they are also easy to knock over. So I wanted an easy way to store them that takes up as little room as possible, without having to screw hooks into the wall. With the help of a few friends, this is what we came up with: Bike Tree

That's not bad.  I have an Oakrak Bike Tree (and have aspirations to a second ;) ), but making your own is so much cooler.
Getting there...

That's really excellent zzpza. I think I will make one to replace my current external 'bike shed'.
As an extra challenge I will try to do it from skip sourced materials , aesthetics being less important in the garden than in the living room.
