I'm going to sabotage your funeral and change the music to Benny Hill

I am going to swap yours for the theme from Thomas The Tank Engine.

Your coffin trundling into the crem like a model train.

I'm going to swap yours to the theme tune from the Hovis ad.

You know what shape your coffin will be.

That is fitting as Vicky Pendleton will be weeping over it.

I think I would like these two :
Tom Waits and MontyPython

Can't clicky those from work but is the Tom Waits one 'On the Nickel'?

Like Julian, and several others, I'm not really all that fussed what anyone does with my body.  I'd rather hope a few people get suitably pissed at a wake, and remember some of the stupid things I've said. ;D

The only tune that comes to mind, is obvioulsy Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, and I hope that somebody will have the bad taste to say that they were the first person[1] to say fuck at my funeral. :o ;D

Footnote [1] Addmitedly John Cleese got in first with this at Graham Chapman's memorial service, but I don't think I can ever compete with the Python's, so I'll just have to copy them.
Actually, it is rocket science.

We had this at our wedding along with There is a Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths! :)

I'd have Smog - Dress Sexy at my Funeral.  I'd also consider Jackie by Scott Walker, but this should be reserved for my friend Pete.

Jews don't usually have music at funerals so I'll not plan any.

I was amused by Handel's Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' playing when they brought her coffin into the church.

We sang 'In Paradisum' from the Fauré Requiem among other things. (Friend was a fellow chorister.)

A good send-off.

I once built a sound system for someone's grave, complete with solar panel, everytime you came within a couple of feet of the headstone it would play Baz Lurmans wear sunscreen. I wonder if it's still working :)

You mean you don't want this Viking funeral ship we've been building? :-/

Flaming arrows?  Weeping, axe-toting Vikings?  Strapping Valkryies with plaits and heaving bosoms?  Everyone going off to get pie-eyed from hearty draughts out of each others' mead horns?

Or a cardboard coffin inna Ford Granada hearse at the local crem.

Hmmm, let me think...   :D

Can't promise all of that, but we'd have a good try...

PS: I don't have a Ford Granada, if that helps you decide.
Getting there...

We can't lay our hands on a long boat.

Will a burning skip shoved into Richmond park lake do?

We got Andy Gates a blonde wig with pigtails.

There are a surprising number of Jews in church choirs, there will have been a good few singing the Hallelelujah Chorus to the Pope at the weekend I'm sure. Did you know Friedl Landau I wonder? Heather went to her funeral in Golders Green.

No, I didn't.
The chapels in Golders Green Crematorium only (I estimate) hold about 250 people, which is not much considering how often the very rich and famous end up there.

My Grandmother was the page turner for the Penarth Male voice choir.

She was half Jewish, not sure how she was baptised.
