Fingers crossed Tomsk.

Audax events part funded by business trips to London are I suspect a thing of the past, but there's a few of these Id travel for in a heartbeat.

I've ridden four of these events in the past. Am keen to ride some again, just love East Anglia. How are you hoping to run them. I'm happy to do a ride with  five others during Covid conditions.

Looks good. Must put some 2021 markers in the calendar for my Hertfordshire events.

Cool, Braziers Run is being kept going.
Last time I entered I succeeded in riding sans route sheet and sans gps. (Albeit with another rider who could have corrected me if I'd missed a road).
I love the road out of Tilty towards Broxted. It's possibly my favourite 2miles of road in the UK.
Would not try and attempt that now sadly due to lack of Essex riding in the past few years after moving south of "the river" but maybe another ECE could be on the cards.

In the (currently unlikely) event that the Kelvedon Oyster does proceed, it will take place on the 23rd January due to a high tide on the 16th.  A permanent based on the same route is now available.

Thanks, Tomsk

I should be around to ride, help or a combination.   Let's see what the New Year brings.

Thanks for this Tom - I was just looking at the AUK calendar last weekend and wondering if any of the local events would be going ahead. I can get some provisional passes in place now

Date for the diary - 17/04/2021: The Woodman 100km and The Woodman's Daughter 50km are now open for business, though all subject to the usual Covid uncertainties.

They'll be very X-rated - details to be worked out, but probably: 50 entries per event, timed 'group of 6' starts, pick up the brevet from my front garden, return to my post box at the finish etc. No cream tea this year I'm afraid. Beyond that, we'll have to see what is possible for later events.

I'm hopeful the rest of the 2021 ACME calendar will now fall into place.

Great news Tomsk. I'll be up for the Woodman. Entries don't seem to be possible yet on the Audax website ... as in no events can be entered currently, but I can see your events are no longer showing as suspended.

Ok, I'll check with the boss.

Postal entry will work! I also have 8 entries to add in from last year - they requested carrying their entry over to 2021.

Oh a nominal 10am start for the 100.  What’s the range of start times?  Might work well for an ECE for my April 200 for RRTY.

This is still being crunched by the cogs ... 10 minutes per group of 6 start was ok for the Stansted Airport Express in December: nearly at my limit of 50 entries but as it turned out, nearer 30 starters (weather, travel restrictions etc). For the 100km I should think maybe 09:00 though to about 10:30, but it depends a bit on the earlier starting 50km, though I'd expect only about a dozen at that distance, but I may be mistaken. It's an unprecedented situation and I think I'm going to be doing a lot of last-minute juggling! At least there's more daylight in mid April though.

The Big Saxon will be up for it after a few months bodybuilding training in the home gym, an awesome sight in the ACME colours.

Just got my entry in for the Woodman 100km, hopefully I'm not too late.

I don't think I have actually ridden this one yet!

Yup, still got plenty of places.

I've got to work out why I can't update the route sheet and info via AUKweb at the moment. I'll email entrants (and last year's carried over) with the current info sheet soon anyway.

Thanks Tomsk.

I am excited about the Woodman's 100 (+ some bonus km to get to & from Dunmow) as it'll be a chance to see some new bits of Essex. And my first audax since I quit on PBP.

Plus I've now entered Green & Yellow Fields 300, which won't be anything new but I'm looking forward to the night ride up the A1065
What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

The Woodman 100km has reached 50 on the start sheet today and so I have closed entries.

Lots of room on the 'Daughter' 50km, if anyone fancies some COR and a generous 6 hour time limit! Maybe to start your 'Essex Grandest Slam of Shiny', (50 - 1000km)?
