RaptoBike lowracer (long)
« on: 24 May, 2012, 08:56:23 am »
Although I'm looking to sell mine so that Challenge can supply David at Laid-Back-Bikes with a Chamsin SL (if such a thing can be made!), I still think the RaptoBike lowracer is an excellent ride. I wanted to write it up before it went, so if anyone's interested, there's a lengthy diatribe with photos  on my blog.

Hope that may be mildly interesting!

Aye, it's been nicely done up with a professional repaint (Racing Green), has new BB, headset etc.

I'll probably be doing it as a trade-in through David Gardiner at Laid Back Bikes though, and in fact it's in his showroom now - you could consider dropping him an email if you might be interested?

What an excellent review. I would have bought one based on that - I bought the fujin sl instead though. I really like that you have been able to significantly customise the setup to get the performance you want. The fujin suffers from being a bit deweighted vs strong, and having several miles of chain, while the Rapto looks very sturdily built.
7 hr 200 is pretty good isn't it?
