Well sports fans, here I am reporting from The Ice Arena, Hull, where the Hull Icehogs captained by Ms Manotea the Younger are about to take on the Sheffield Bears, a grudge match, apparently.

The place is crowded out by fans eager for the action to begin...

Honest, I couldn't make this up! Go Icehogs!!

Well, the Hogs were victorious, 4-1, though I have to say their goalie had a very good game!

A great competitive game with much off-the-puck action.

In the college league they don't have bodychecking as the teams are mixed. That doesn't stop the players crashing into each other and falling over though! But really it was a great competitive game.

Here's a picture of Ms Manotea not scoring...
