Wales hire and trails?
« on: 21 February, 2017, 11:26:19 am »
Going to be spending a couple of days in Wales at the end of March. Thinking of going somewhere that has fat bikes to hire for a day and getting out on some trails.

Does anyone have recommendations or experience of places?

Whereabouts in Wales?  A quick google doesn't bring up many places that rent out fatbikes anywhere in the UK, though there is one in Porthcawl (that might be shut).

That's what I'm trying to decide.

I dunno about fat bikes, but I hired some MTBs with my nephews from Beddgelert Bikes a couple of years ago. Very helpful and some great terrain around there  :)
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

You could try Clive Powell in Rhayader: http://www.clivepowell-mtb.co.uk/index.php
He has bikes for hire, and Surly fat bikes in the shop.  I don't know if he rents the fat bikes out but it's worth a phone call.

You could try Beics Brenin at Coed y Brenin. They've had fatbikes for hire in the recent past
