They would have to have some serious add on kit to do that. You cant do that kind of think with a Pringle can and ramping up the transmit signal on your AP to max.

even Fyindales isn't pokey enough to knock out birds.  It needs a huuuge power density and a very, very short pulse width to do that.

Military radars are probably the nearest you'll get, and there's anecdotal evidence of seagulls sitting on the sea in line with the beams at the old Marconi coastal radar test ranges in Essex.  Nice and warm*

I only mention what was reported about Fylingdales (this was in the days when car remotes were buggered by it).

But, if even they can't zap avians, I think we can discount it for the starling case.

oh yeah, that's an issue still.  But it's interference, and it's as much about receiver sensitivity as transmitter power.  TETRA is quite good at jamming remote central locking even today.

I was in the midst of a similar incident a few lot of years ago, that time though it was raining pidgins, not starlings.

Turned out to be a vindictive bird hater laying poisoned bait for them....

It was scary at the time, especially the one that fell on my head as I walked out of the front door
