Wait till July. Book another journey. Ensure that one is cancelled due to apocalyptic heatwave or something. Exchange new vouchers for cash. Job done!

GN: Editor sent through article proofs, which look great, so that should cover the a respray at Bob Jackson plus various new bits for my Eclipse.

BN: I don't get paid until it's on newsstands and have to invoice, bah.

GN: TV guide says Get Carter is on the telly box tonight.
BN: Starring Sylvester Stallone.

That's a disappointment.
The workshop manager at my job at The Science Museum was married to the daughter of the bloke who wrote Get Carter.

BN: Customer had his bike nicked.

GN: Police appear to have recovered it.

BN: GMP wanted a picture of 'him with his bike' before they would release it.

GN: I was able to give GMP a detailed description of the bike and I think he's getting it back.

BN. In January the Reading Bicycle Kitchen had to leave the premises in the former Jacksons department store it had been using, for a peppercorn rent, pending its sale. The building had been bought, & the new owners wanted to take possession of a vacant building.

GN. It moved back in yesterday.  The new owners, like their predecessors, prefer to have tenants than an empty building.
