road bike to 3 wheels conversion kit

(1/2) > >>

phillip:
Got a road bike that I am looking to convert to a trike
who makes/sells them nowadays ?
ps: found nowt of much use after a search

LittleWheelsandBig:
Trike conversion kits are mostly secondhand. Good ones are Higgins (very old), Ken Rogers (pretty old) and Longstaff (not too old, comparatively). The only good new ones are by Trykit http://trykit.com/

Stake out https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/on3wheels/ the Tricycle Association’s forum. They scan eBay and discuss which ones are good value.

nuttycyclist:
I have a secondhand axle somewhere that I never got around to fitting.   One of the hub flanges has been slightly bent (been dropped?) and as a result it's gone further down my list of things to sort out.

PM me if interested.

drossall:
Upright sports trikes (as opposed to recumbents and utility models) don't sell for what they are worth, owing to a limited market. Depending on budget, you could watch out for one.

phillip:

will be having a very merry christmas
conversion kit on order from Trykit, disc version
due mid to end December
