Fans of Julian Barrett (The Mighty Boosh) may not be aware that Mindhorn is on BBC2 tonight.
It's silly.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

"Kingdom" on Netflix. Korean zombies, swords, bad dubbing - what's not to like?
Nearly forgot - preposterous headgear too.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

OMG.  Series 1 episode 1 of Fawlty Towers is on Beeb 1 at 8.30 tonight.
Does this mean all 12 episodes are to be re run?
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Look forward to the social media backlash when children and/or people who haven’t seen it for years realise that a lot of the attitudes it depicts were very much “of their time”.

And Cleese being the twat he is, will respond with some kind of “pc gone mad” tirade.

IIRC we went through this with The Germans episode last year? I cannot remember why it got dredged up (possibly some link with BLM?). There was certainly lots of

and other stuff more suited to a politics forum, but hey, Citoyen probably feels better for getting his dig in first ...

The BBC2 doc on John DeLorean is well worth watching.  Textbook narcissist who came unstuck in a spectacular way.  It's alleged he and Colin Chapman were embezzling together, which I'd never heard before.

The judge who put Group Lotus accountant Fred Bushell away for three years reckoned that Chapman only escaped going down for a ten-stretch by being dead.  Allegedly.  There are still conspiraloons who claim he's living it up somewhere warm and sunny with Lord Lucan, Suzy Lamplugh and Shergar.

Elizabeth R on BBC 4

Six parts made in 1971 with Glenda Jackson as Elizabeth 1st.

Excellent. The sets are a bit low budget by modern standards but the cast and the acting is brilliant.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

New series of Taskmaster starting on the 18th.

Brilliant as ever. Worth watching just for Lee Mack's sandwich-making skills. And Mike Wozniak on a hoverboard.

Sarah Kendall and Jamali Maddix I know nothing about beyond that they are stand-up comedians.
I thought I didn't know of Sarah Kendall either until I heard her speak on Taskmaster and instantly remembered that she's a very good, funny and manipulative storyteller.

Here's her Story of George Peach

Aha! I don’t even need to click on the link - I’ve heard that story before, from when she was on Josie Long’s Lost Treasures of the Black Heart, quite a few years ago.

I knew there was something familiar about her.

ETA: in trying to dig out the episode she was in, I also discovered that Mawaan Rizwan was a guest, way back in 2012. Can’t believe he’s old enough to have been gigging that long.

Achievement unlocked:  Was completely unaware that Comic Relief was happening, until I saw a past-tense headline about Justin Bieber doing something for it after the event.

Best thing since not being Whammed.

Unfortunately I am not always quick enough to switch to C4 at the end of the BBC Londonton news, frequently because I'm not actually on the room at the time.  Then you get trailers for the wretched thing.  Being in the kitchen at the wrong time can also cause inadvertent exposure to The One Show and therefore also a long soak in the bath*.

Watched Crock Of Gold last night, a fascinating and well made* documentary about Shane MacGowan that was on BBC4 on Tuesday, though I think it was first broadcast last year - late to the party, as ever.

Really sad looking at the state of him now.

I started watching it yesterday but it was upsetting seeing his condition. I didn't last long, just wasn't in the right frame of mind, will watch it but need to be in the right head space.

We are watching Monster on All4. A crime series set in Northern Norway. It's getting more ridiculous as the episodes go on.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.
