DIY workmate mounted bike stand

I found this and am intending to give it a go. Has anyone tried it?

Before I decided I couldn't do without a Park stand I can barely lift, my "workstand" was a combination of turbo trainer, workmate and kitchen table for example:

Good old Instructables.
I have a project on there myself.
This one doesn't look too hard, but it doesn't seem like a brilliant design. Can't see that holding a heavy frame particularly solidly.

Fine plan this multiple use for a turbo thingie, I used one as a truing stand (as I don't have one myself) when I built my last wheel, you will need to put a few packers in and tighten the QR but once that is tight it works okay.

Excellent, that's what I'll be using in future, you've just saved me buying a workstand.

I'm gonna limp to the pub and drink 'til the rest of me is as numb as my arse.
