I do.  :D

I generally take the dog for a long walk on a Monday. Today I have 7 miles planned, starting and finishing at the Viper pub, and involving a visit to the tea room in Blackmore.

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Edit: can you get to my place for 9.30, Kat?

I like Mondays.   The weekend is over, I have the house to myself, a mug of tea and Just a Minute on the radio whilst cogitating over the day ahead.

Anyway, to get back to the matter in hand, Steve's covered 18 miles in his first hour of riding today, heading NW up the A5. Good stuff.

I've heard from the TG team that he's heading for York tonight and then back to MK tomorrow. Taking advantage of the forecast wind direction. Bonne voyage with the wind on your back Steve  :)

Getting there...

If he's heading to york today, the forecast in the york area is for strong southerly winds - Steve might be taking note of that when setting off a bit later than usual.

Go for it Steve!
Looks like it's going to be a tough week weather wise.

He seems to be moving very quickly at the moment, with the wind on his back.

Go, Steve, Go!

- and may the wind be in your favour on the way back, too!  (who needs vehicle transfers  ;))

According to the Met Office's website, it's a southerly wind today and a northerly tomorrow. Great planning here.

It is time for Steve to lift his average speed, so good to see today's choice.

4°C now rising to 12°C later. Change of kit planned or did he start in light stuff & freeze?

I guess that's a problem we all have this time of year and then again in Autumn, cold first thing warm during the day and then cold again during the evening.

He's in my neck of the woods again - suburban Leicester - not the best choice as there's too many lights, speed humps, etc. but the weather is good - it's cool, dry and bright, with only a slight breeze.
At a guess, he's skirting Eastern Leicester to head for Newark and maybe Lincolnshire.
Too many angry people - breathe & relax.

It was -2 in York this morning, but bone dry, no sign of frost or ice on roads.

Sure, but Steve will hopefully be able to optimize his kit throughout the day.

Is that a technical term for taking off and putting on layers?
