The South Salopian Audax. 200km: 1st October

Hello All

Fancy a ride through scenic South Shropshire*, being fed with a hot meal at the end or receiving a free bottle of beer if you wear your 2022 LEL jersey#?

This is another Beacon RCC audax but fear not, it is not as tough as The Kidderminster Killer.  For the most part it follows quiet roads through the valleys, does undulate mildly.  The biggest climb is over the Long Mynd via the easiest means of ascent between Bishop's Castle to Duckley Nap.  The nastiest bit is a short but very sharp climb out of the UNESCO heritage site of Coalbrookdale.

Free Controls at:

-Tenbury Wells
-Bishop's Castle
-Ironbridge
+ three info controls

E Brevet will be available.

At GHQ Belbroughton there will be light foods available before the start.  A cooked meal will be available for returners.  Showers and changing facilities are also available.  Belbroughton is 10 minutes drive from junction 4 of the M5.
