Mike Burrows - RIP

This seemed the most appropriate place to put this news, as no one else seems to have mentioned it, and it seems on topic for The Knowledge, as I think Mike definitely would have approved of this forum if he'd been inclined to use this sort of method of propagating information (moderators feel free to move it elsewhere if that seems sensible).

Mike Burrows died yesterday, aged 79. He was most famously know to the public for being involved in the design of the Lotus bike that Chris Boardman used in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. I always remember him for his Windcheetah recumbent aka the Speedy, that I was amazed to realise was designed 40 years ago.

I only ever met him a small handful of times at British Human Power Club meetings, and listened to him in the pub at a couple of those events, and he seemed a smart and knowledgeable person, at least in the area of human powered vehicles.

Actually, it is rocket science.

Thanks, I searched using YACF search and Google search, and got nothing!
