Anyone any experience of these? Fad or fun?

Apparently designed by Brant Richards, previously of On-One.

Some fairly cheap components on the some models - hi-tensile steel frames. But probably not too bad for the price.
And some horrible colours.

The Point AR looks nice for a fastish disc road/commuter/audax bike.

It was pretty fast, but then it fell in a hole and broke.

Oh, not this one then:

Just compared the specs to Giant and Cube bikes of similar pricing (real world current pricing). On the surface the branded parts are OK/good for this pricepoint, but the own branded finishing kit and wheels are an unknown quantity.

What does stand out is that the Mango bike is about 1kg heavier than its competitors. I wouldn't buy one, personally. There is nothing special about them and there are far better bikes out there for the money.

The casual impression I've got from the couple I've seen is that they are something along the lines of Charge.

Bit late to the party, but I've been charging about on a Mango bike for six months, and love it. It's a decent enough no frills entry level bike, and priced accordingly. I changed the wheel nuts front and rear as they round out pretty easily and put spd's on, but otherwise it's as supplied and will be carrying me on the Dunwich Dynamo and a few of the shorter Audaxes/Sportives this year. Each to their own of course, but I'm a happy chappy with mine.
