I currently have several pairs of safety glasess.  Bought from BOC or other trade counters.  I have a really nice pair of peltor, uvex and bolle.  I have a couple of pairs of oakley's but prefer the bolle and uvex ones as they are lighter and can e worn whilst cycling, driving and riding under a helmet.

For riding in I use PBK's cheap and cheerful multilens jobbies (£13 a set IIRC) but for day to day use I use what have to be just about the best sunnies mere mortals can buy, them being Maui Jim Kapalua's.

I've taken to wearing fit-over sunglasses like this:

(I'm serious) About £5 from eBay.

Not only do they afford excellent unobstructed wide-field vision, but I'm also well ahead of the curve in the fashion stakes - mark my words, all the fixie hipsters are going to be packing these before the end of the summer! ;)

[edit] proof positive :P

The goggles are lovely but, alas, steam up like mad.  I'm Captain Sweaty Face.  Wonder if I can spring for some M-Frames..?
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

I bought some Rudy Project Rydons with the red photochromic lenses for my US tour and I'm pleased with them. Comfy, usable till dusk and so far no scratches. £90 from The Bike Factory in Chester.

I break/scratch/lose/otherwise bugrup shades so frequently, it would be a crime to buy anything other than the cheapest.  Lidl/Aldi or, if I really want to splash out, Revolution ;D
