Anyone else watched this? The course was a mixture of tarmac roads, cycle paths, footpaths, broken up concrete roads and even a bit of gravel. This is exactly the same mixture of terrain that I go riding on a typical day, so I think it should have been called the cycle touring world championship. Add a cafe stop and it would be complete.
Mind you, I not sure Western Europe has much of the kind of terrain that would make it a true gravel race.
