Ham and eggs: chunks of leftover roast gammon, and scrambled eggs.  Oh, and oxo and milk ;)

Just had a slice of Christmas cake and a bottle of St Peter's Honey Porter for pudding.

They went very well together - the cake is of course optional.

We have just had the most amazing lamb shanks. They were soaked in red wine, garlic and various herbs for twenty four hours before cooking and despite coming out of the oven looking rather, well, burnt to be honest, they tasted fantastic. Thank you Mrs. TKP.

I roasted a ham yesterday for the kids as they did the entertaining last night, we managed to steal some and have had ham, pigs in blankets, chips and egg, delicous.  Just thinking about finishing the christmas pud, could fry that off in a little butter and a glug of brandy, hmm must consult alan to see if he has room for pudding  ;D

We had bits of everything and anything from the fridge.  Then I went next door as my neighbours had returned from their trip.  I had a fish finger, five chips and some tom tom sauce, several mint chocolates, a fruit gum and six maltesers, oh yes and a little sherry.

Roast lamb with garlic & rosemary,  new potatoes etc, and a nice red...  hooray no Turkey.  Actually we've been enjoying exercising the pickles and chutneys, the last few days...  :)

My Dad is cooking, so tunnelling out for fish & chips later is a distinct possibility.

The Bambi soup comment above made me remember......IKEA (yup, the big blue Swedish furniture pit of purgatory) sells reindeer salami which makes just about the finest pizza topping ever....we had it on Christmas Eve as a celebration of bah-humbugginess

I don't know because we are going out to celebrate Mrs. TKP's birthday. A local pub/hotel has recently been refurbished and it is either extremely good or they have got all their friends and relations to review it on the web. We shall find out soon.  :demon:

After napping most of the afternoon and feeling a little sore, I don't feel like cooking, so I've russled up some cheese, biscuits, celery and some apple.

I have cut some lamb into chunks & anointed it with olive oil & herbs. I'll probably do it with some peppers & onion. served on cous cous.

I've got 12 bottles of red racked up in the kitchen but I've promised myself I'll only drink it at weekends....
