Just VeloYellow and me for NYE - yay!  We're having prawns, oysters and lobster accompanied by mangoes, avocado, cherries and salad and followed by some lovely cheeses

Edit: it was lovely - some combinations just work exquisitely - prawns and avocado and prawns and mango being two of them!

I had quorn peppered "steak" which was like shoe leather, with baked beans and a mash of potato, carrot and butternut squash. And I made veggie shepherd's pie for tomorrow and probably 3 days after that!

... rullepølse

One of my favourite food memories from Denmark.  That is along with the excellent Ærøskøbing ales and superb cakes...

I nearly always have game on New Year's Day - tonight's repast was rabbit in a cream and mustard sauce, mushroom tortelloni and red cabbage, followed by apple and blackberry crumble.

Now when was that diet starting...

Tomorrow. Diets always start tomorrow.  ;)

that sounds so strange it just might work. We're having pasta with tuna and spicy tomato sauce, with some brocolli for good measure.

Spaghetti alla leftovers....

Dice the wrinkled red and green peppers, from the back of the fridge, slice a few good sized mushrooms, finely chop the garlic and chilli. (there should be tomatoes as well)

Add to a pan of medium hot olive oil, stir a bit and reduce heat.

Grill 2 slices of black pudding, when done, dice and add to veggies.

Cook your pasta as you like it.

To the pan of gently simmering veg & black pudding dob in 1/2 a jar of emergency pasta sauce (if you've used tomatoes skip this bit)

Drain pasta,  add to pan of savoury gloop.Stir.  Decant into a bowl , eat with a robust red....

This also works well with sliced Cumberland sausage.

Pizza I think, and one of the last two bottles of beer in the fridge.  I think I need to fit the Bob Nutz to Sid (they're currently on the Brompton iirc), and do a big grocery shop sometime this week.
Actually, it is rocket science.
