Last night I went to make fish for dinner, but it had gone off :( So I made Special Fried Jacs - It's basically Special Fried Rice but all made by me and is my signature dish. Nom nom nom.

We both spent several hours standing around in the cold watching U-10 and U-11 footie so had shop bought comfort beef in ale with puff pastry pie washed down with a bottle of Côtes de Rhône.

I had a go at making chicken kiev tonight.

Not too bad I thought.  Got an 8.25 out of 10 from my daughter.

I have just served up Chicken Mole with rice, fried plantain and a new potato and green bean salad.  Is going down well.  Later to be followed by pear gratin.

I've just finished the hugest rib-eye steak I've ever bought this side of the pond.
The only thing I had with it was tomato and basil that has been sitting in a mix of olive oil and balsamic vinegar overnight and two glasses of wine.
Eating imperfect Cadbury stuff now.

I think I need to go to bed now.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Sun-dried tomato risotto, with cauliflower roasted with garlic. Then I will have rhubarb crumble and cream. And red wine.

I've had two massive meals today. Wild boar sausages and mash with tons of veg for lunch and roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for dinner. Still had room for a huge bowl of ice cream too.

I'd give everything I've eaten today a solid 8.5/10....
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Peppers, onions, celery and quorn "steak" strips cooked with a very smoky and spicy combination of smoked paprika, home-grown, home-smoked Habanero chillis and tomatoes.  Served with lemony basmati rice. Yum!

I made a yummy dish this evening: purple sprouting broccoli, courgettes and potatoes in cheese sauce, with a salad of cherry tomatoes, radishes and parsley. Yum!
