A nice easy one. What links Cornelius Brunner, Ginger Baker and Europe?

As the only thing Europe are famous for is "The Final Countdown", I'll go for countdowns, although where Ginger Baker comes in, I'm not sure.  Did he count at the beginning of Cream songs, John Bonham-style?

Part of the link is in Roger's answer, but not in the way he proposes

Is Cornelius Brunner a character from a Michael Moorcock novel?  In wihch case we have a Hawkwind connection, perhaps.

You may be surprised. FinalCountdown, Final Programme, Michael Moorcock, Jerry Cornelius (who merged with Miss Brunner), Hawkwind (long time Moorcock associates), all there. You just need Ginger

Ginger Baker was Hawkwind's drummer for a while but I'm not sure that's the connection you're after.

Woofage has the Final bit. Ginger played with them, Moorcock "sang" with them and wrote a lot of words for them, he also wrote Cornelius Brunner into the Final Programme, and Europe finally counted down.

I think on balance Clarion and Rob  got most of it, so a point divided between them

Indeed. I wouldn't claim any credit for my tiny contribution ;).

OK then.  Quick one from me:

Which is the odd one out from Airrace, the Waterboys and the Wallflowers?

The Waterboys is the odd one out on the grounds that I've not heard of the other two.

Airrace

It starts with an 'A' and the others start with a 'W'.
It is simpler than it looks.

I was going to say Waterboys because the other two have "sons of" in their line up

Interesting line.  Perhaps you should expand on that.  But no, The Waterboys are not the odd one out.
