A few years ago some friends and I bought a white wine from a vineyard in Shropshire, just a couple of hundred yards from the Welsh border. Our view of the wine was that it wasn't up to much.

OK, different vineyard, different grape. But £25.50 a bottle is a lot more than I'm normally prepared to part with.
