Excuse my complete ignorance of the geography of Englandshire (again)  :-X

Can anyone point me in the direction of any calendar events/Perms in the Lake District?

Thanks.

 ;D

I have entries for a few of Andy's perms but not that one.

I have tried looking on AUK but am struggling to work out what events are in the Lake District.

Am I to presume from the lack of responses that there are no events in the Lake District?  I have looked at AUK site and, despite my earlier claim of ignorance re geography, cannot see any.  Is there an Audax exclusion zone in NW Englandshire?

Hi Noodley. None that I am aware off.

These two are local to me and are very lovely but are not Lake District audax rides per se:
09-526
09-370

There are quite a few sportives to try in the Lake district.

Nev Holgate has a couple of Permanents running form Southport. A 300km which goes to Penrith  on the A6 and back down via the Kirkstone Pass, and a 400km which goes up to Carlisle on the A6 and back via Cockermouth, Keswick, Bowness and the Lyth Valley. It's hard to concoct anything longer than a 200 in the Lake District itself, It's not a very big place. I'd like to do the 400km this year in June, I'd start from home and head to Southport.

Damon.
