Not to mention that time a few years ago when the Open University fielded a team made up of former winners of Brain Of BRITAIN and similar.

I'll be straight with you, they aren't kind to recumbent cyclists.

But then nor are most normal cyclists, so I expect you're used to it.

Now on IPlayer - Classic Albums. Carly Simons No Secrets (You're So Vain was the hit). Some great playing and engineering from a time when those skills counted.

I watched that, it was really good. I love it when they give you an incite into the production. I love 70s production as well, a much better sound than a lot of modern stuff, and as for 80s production
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Forgot it was King Charles III on telly last night. Tried and failed to get tickets to see it in the West End last year. Was looking forward to the chance to see it on telly, will have to iplayer it.

Anyone see it?

Yes, quite enjoyed it. Was amused by the iambic pentameter, and the (assumed deliberate) shaping from Shakespeare. Diana as Lady Macbeth was particularly amusing. Inspiration taken from pretty much all the historics, from Julius Caesar through to Lear, and some of the comedies.

To be fair, Kate shared the Lady Macbeth role, but she had a bit more Goneril thrown in, and she wasn't a ghost.

Watched it last night. Excellent. You're right, it is very Shakespearean. Superb performance from Tim Pigott-Smith.

It does show signs of having been cut for TV, especially in the ending, which felt a bit rushed. Really sorry I missed it in the West End.

Car Share. The section with the cyclist is inspired - we've all been there - the epilogue is hilarious. Also the Shaun Ryder Rehab Centre

I have only just started watching Car Share on catchup. Haven't seen that episode yet but last night watched the one where they bunk off for a day to a safari park. Mrs Pcolbeck couldn't breath for laughing.
All the ones I have seen so far are good. So well observed and make you smile a lot but not laugh out loud. The last five minutes of the safari park episode though was side split-tingly funny.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Bit late to the party but 'Little Boy Blue' is a powerful four parter about the murder of Rhys Jones in Liverpool around 10 years ago. If you missed it ITV Player should have all four episodes on demand. Recommended.

Tough, but worth it.

It has got some incredible reviews.  I'd suggest perhaps reading the comments on many of them with caution tho.

We've been watching a fascinating thing on C4 - "The Trial: A Murder In The Family" - a fictional court case tried by real barristers with a real jury. Not the kind of thing I'd normally watch but it was strangely gripping, and horribly reminiscent of my own experience of serving on a jury. Well worth catching up with if you missed it:

After the trial was over, they revealed what had actually happened - my own verdict was the correct one, of course.  :smug:
