Logging out on Xbox 360

I have an Xbox live Gold account, which seems to sign in automatically.  When I tried Netflix, I found that there was no way to log out to, mainly as a 'parental control'.  The only thing one could do was set the xbox parental controls to the required setting.  This meant that all the say +12 rated films appeared as grey boxes...

Anyone know?

I think you need to create a new account - and set that as the default start up account.
