316Ti saddle rails

Just for fun, googled 316Ti as used in saddle rails by various manufacturers. Turns out it's an austentitic stainless steel with a max Ti content of 0.7%. It offers better high temperature performance than 316L (i.e. at 900C to 1500C) and so is an ideal material for saddles under the highest performing riders... or maybe it offers a marketing advantage!

Always good to know

Hence the reason why IMI Titanium decided not to have an IMI 316 titanium alloy lest it be confused with the stainless steel alloys that had been around for a while.
