Is it really solid aluminium?  Why? A calculation suggests it will weigh over 2kg.

Since when has "reassuringly hefty" been an good thing on a bicycle?

I'm actually in the market for a short straight hipster handlebar, but I don't want a 2kg one...

I know we're all desperate to be hip'n'groovy (NOT!) but why the PHUQ would anyone want a solid handlebar?

The vibration would give you whitefinger within 10 miles and that's before you've realised that there's two kinds of brake lever you can fit.*

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.

There are 25.4mm brake levers for straight bars - they're quite common now.

Rule 34 Shirley?  Being solid allows you to machine the requisite smooth tapered ends, and any vibration in use won't be directed at the fingers.

I expect a matching brake lever for, erm, additional stimulation is a work in progress...

Ease off the clamp bolt and you might just have a kosh.

Not round here. Mind you we're so unhip...
