Tiagra CS-4600 cassette replacement

Think it's time for a new cassette. I see the CS-4600 is discontinued. Will I be ok replacing with either a Tiagra HG-500 or a Tiagra 4700 cassette and if so any reason to go for one over the other?

this is in fact a non-decision, I think, in that if you look carefully at listings for 'CS-4700', eg.

careful inspection shows that you are actually looking at CS-HG500-10. Shimano list this as 'Tiagra' too;

They are both 'non-carrier' type cassettes (which are hard on aluminium freehub bodies BTW), and AFAICT the  only significant difference between CS-4600 and CS-HG500-10 is the ratio choice.

CS-4600 was available in 11-25, 12-28 and 12-30 whereas CS-HG500-10 is (supposedly) available in 11-25, 12-28, 11-32, 11-34.

So if you liked the 12-30 you are out of luck, and will have to look elsewhere.

If it's a 30 you need the 6700 Ultegra cassette is still available at CRC...

Sram 10 speed cassettes are also compatible.  you can even get a 12-36 if you wish.
