Dawes sprint

Need to get the eldest (turning 6) monkey a new bike as outgrown her cnoc 16 in a year. Looking round at the usual suspects Isla and frog bikes but recently she saw a dawes sprint 20 and she liked it. Think mainly as had handlebars like daddy's bike.

Anyone got any experience of these.she rides about a mile each way to school most days but planing on some longer rides with her as she has inherited my love of bikes. I'm slightly apprehensive about how she would get on with the brake levers.

Looking at the spec it's fairly basic, will probably have a butterfly (rocker) shift lever, alloy frame/steel fork. My only concern would be brake levers being sized correctly for small hands.

Heavily discounted on the net and doesn't appear on the Dawes website leads me to believe  it's been dropped from the range.

All that said if that's what she wants then go for it.

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.
