Not sure if this is OT or not (so feel free to move it if needed), but....
I've been running Tracklogs on a PC for ages now, using which I plot & upload routes to my GPS. Unfortunately, the PC I'm using most died at the weekend & may or may not be repairable. The other PC can't be set up in the foreseeable future for a variety of reasons.
Until the above issues have been resolved, I've managed to borrow a Mac. I'm starting o master the basics, but am still struggling a bit, having not used one before...
My main prob with the Mac is finding a way to (in order of importance):
-Plotting routes on computer & then uploading them to my GPS
-Downloading my routes from the GPS to check the stats of routes
-getting the computer to speak to the Mac at all
I've Google searched & there seem to be no decent answers to the above, without using some PC emulation software. I'm just getting used to the Mac & really don't want to use anything complicated. I also don't want to spend a lot on something that I might not be using for more than a month or two...
Are there any Mac-using, GPS users on here who could help?
(& whilst you're here, how do I get the spellcheck in Firefox to suggest alternatives? I can't right-click...)
