I've been asked to post an encouraging ad for Hugh Harrison's Chevy Chase 200k 11th May as he is short of entries at the moment and would like more people to experience the magnificent scenery on this wonderful Northumberland ride.
Excellent value too at just £5 for a whole day out on your bike.
Go on give it a go!

It's a shame I'm so far from Northumberland, because it's wonderful cycling country. Quite as good as Devon, in fact even better when we 'down yerr' are inundated with holiday traffic.

It is a superb cycling county. The Chevy Chase I believe goes over some gunnery ranges which are not open all year.

I did this 3 years ago and have posted off my entry yesterday for this years event.
Really good ride with cracking views. The section over the ranges is a pretty unique and I was wondering at one bit why the road was so wide until I realised I was cycling down the middle of an airstrip. I'd thoroughly recommend it.
I'm determined to try and get to the top of "that hill" this time without stopping - if you've ridden this before you'll know the one I mean.

It didn't look at all like that in the photographs
