Good: Mefenamic Acid (specialist Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug NSAID for dysmenorrhoea) actually significantly reduces my severe period pain which I was starting to max out codeine doses for.

Bad: The dizziness side effect is unbelievably hideous and I say this as someone who manages bad-balance on a daily basis.

As someone who's always thought of herself as fairly stoical in the face of colds aches and pains and the like, but spent yesterday afternoon feeling sorry for herself over a wasp sting, it's posts like this that make me realise how bloody lucky I am, healthwise...

Hope it all feels better soon.

Interesting...I found Mefenemic Acid entirely useless for my dysmenorrhea.  This combined with it making me feel sick meant I didn't take much.

I've finally settled on Naproxen plus Buscopan.  Nearly pain-free for the first time in mumble mumble years!  Hope you manage to cope through today!

The mefenamic acid was useless in my teens but the pill worked wonders (but made me MAAAAD).  This time the pill has just made me depressed/fatigued/stupid and mefenamic acid stops the dysmen and buggers my balance horribly :(

I can't tolerate naproxan or buscopam at all, both make me almost-vomit levels of ill :(  yet I tolerate diclofenac remarkably well but that does nothing for dysmen.  I find it fascinating what does and doesn't work for different things and different people - although more annoyed by this side effect than 'fascinated' for now.

Question is whether traxenamic acid is worth a try or not - allegedly less effective than mefenamic acid and more for heavy rather than painful periods but.....  *sporks uterus*..   I wonder if they'd let me have a hysterectomy!

Buscopan is a wonderful, wonderful thing.  I wouldn't be able to do half the cycling I do without it.

Good news: as it's Friday, I decided to treat myself to a very rare Indian delivery!

Bad news: having received it, I'm actually not that hungry and have struggled to even eat my starter...haven't even touched the main course!  :(

Your next two or three meals are sorted! Partner and I frequently stretch our takeaways for many meals after they are delivered. The wonderful thing is the food doesn't get thrown away, like it would in a restaurant.

Good news: Mrs chris & I were in second place overnight at the Scottish sailing national championship.

Bad news: We popped on the ferry to Bute to spend the night with relatives and when we went to catch the ferry back this morning it had broken down and not running, scuppering any chance of a podium finish. :'(

Sounds like good trade-off T!    Crusty's seen sense and is leaving his insane job. But it means I'll be unable to work fewer hours in my insane job. Also a good trade-off.

Good news: It is 10 years today that Kim and I decided to see what happened if we gave a relationship a try.  I've never regretted it for a second, the best decision I have ever made in my life.

Bad news: Kim is all soggy and has b0rked body bits and broken bits of bike kit somewhere in Cambridgeshire instead of in my bed which would be dry, warm and have a me in it!

The good news is that my luggage has been returned to me and although it is a little the worse for wear, nothing is missing or broken. The bad news is that the !"£$%^&* baggage handlers in Warsaw failed to put it on the plane in the first place. The odd news is that this is so common an occurrence it's worth Heathrow's while keeping a van driver to ferry lost suitcases to points west (and presumably others to go north, south and east) every day. The bloke in charge of this told me they have 200 lost bags a day, and that's just at T1! And he seemed to think knowing this would somehow inspire confidence in me.  :-\

Good news: we've found and are in the process of fixing an enormous great bug in our code that was threatening the future of our product

Bad news: I'm in work at 8.30pm on a Sunday with no prospect of leaving anytime soon :-\
