A farewell to Our Favourite Teleco

And so today, the maxim to use as little BT as possible reached it's conclusion.

My Internet connection to AAISP is now tunnelled over Starlink.
And today, my landline number is ported to AAISP VoIP.
(I need to maintain the number for some hysterical raisins, for the meantime at least.)

I've shut down the Asterisk VoIP server, which hosted a TDM400 analog line card which connected the incoming analog line to the IP phones.
With no need for the TDM400, the VoIP server duties have passed to the Firebrick router, which has enough capability to handle my needs.

The BT socket sits empty, although there was still a dial tone on the analog phone line when I unplugged the final ahoy-hoy.
