Warner Classics & Jazz > Classical DVD

It would appear that Bryn Terfel also appeared at the Last Night in 1994, the 100th season.

But IMDb has it wrong, because it says it was Colin Davis conducting but in fact it was Andrew Davis.

That's a relief. I thought it was about 10 years ago that Bryn Terfel was the soloist. It was 16!! :o :o

I caught the end of this on the radio as I drove home.

I used to think that opera singers sang in foreign which was why I couldn't understand any words.  I've now come to realise that it's because they can neither sing nor learn the lyrics.

Oh boy did she murder Rule Britannia    The choir kept battling on through the chorus, but I do wish somebody had put her out of her, and our, misery and not allowed her to shriek any more noises between choruses.

Renée Fleming is truly awful, and she has a scary face too.
