Which campus will he be at, does he know the local bike shops and will we see him on the Tasty Cheddar at the beginning of October?!

Broadcast Audio and Music Technology. He turned down the option of BIMM as it seemed to concentrate on the artists' degree courses rather than music production.

Its on the Frenchay campus. I think the only reason he would be seen on a bike is if when his insurance policy runs out of miles. :)

I didn't realise BIMM did degree courses, whenever I go past there seem to be loads of waster types with guitars hanging round. Oh, maybe that makes sense then!  ;)

That's pretty much the impression we got at the open day.

Thanks all.

Its a really big thanks to Stroud College (SGS) for putting on a course that was aligned to BW's interests and the inspirational lectures that made the teaching fun.

A few weeks back I got involved in fixing a ballsed up delivery for a certain Scandinavian furniture retailer.  What we'd sold them wasn't quite what they wanted.  ::-)

A few emails swapped with their IT contractors & I rebuilt things to do what they were expecting & then sent emails to the account team telling them how to straighten the records up.

Someone senior was pleased with this ,so I'm going to have my picture in our internal newsletter with a STAR! against it & have now received a pre-paid credit card with ££ loaded.

No allen keys were harmed in the reconfiguration of this service!

I just wish the sales people would go through the specs with the customer beforehand, and ask me to talk to them before they place the orders.  Hey, ho.  If they ever start getting things consistently right I'm probably out of a job!

More good news. We were unpacking a van with the last of our possessions from NL and Boy Wunja asked if he could have the Spare Parts Bike to go riding with his friend.

Haven't had the actual results yet but the boy has had confirmation of his place at Manchester Uni next year. Totally over the moon, tears of joy and relief all round. Proper proud parent moment.

(Still kind of wish he'd gone for York but Manchester will be brilliant for him. So happy.)

excellent news, what's he going to be studying? I looked at UMIST as it was then for engineering, but opted for Bath instead.

Eldest was extremely displeased to be told on results day that he hadn't got his required English and Maths grades. We immediately asked for a reassessment.

His English was upgraded to a C last week. We're still waiting for news on the Maths . . .

That is seriously spiffy, I'm envious!  Being a bit slow this morning, I initially assumed the pic was of you, wearing it, so I was mentally muttering about how dare you be such a good looking barsteward..  ;D
