Today Mrs Cudzo bought a bike! Rather a nice one too, and at a bargain price. On Thursday I am showing her good places for cycling round Bristol (cos she's busy tomorrow).

Sorry T, the season's passed.  Two of my friends got jobs on the same day as me, together we used up all the good luck for the year.

On holiday from work. Now in Coniston with bike, and the sun has been shining today. Just hope the weather holds.

Congratulations
Are you aiming for the full ("advanced") license? It's a bit of a pain to get up to that nowadays, it was much easier when you just rocked up to the local college one evening and sat a couple of multiple choice exams, rather than this multi-stage thing we have now with enforced practicals etc.

Jan and I have just put together our insurance claim for our ruined Bath trip over Easter. The total (rail fares, accommodation and course fees) came to £710.

I find filling such forms in and finding all the evidence for money spent to be completely tedious. In the end, the only bit I couldn't find the originals for was the outward rail journey (no reason to keep tickets) but the amount shows up on my credit card statement.
