Garmin 705- question from an I.T. and modern tech illiterate

New Garmin arrived- all very nice.  Has come with a 'preprogrammed date card' titled Plug and play street maps.  I don't see a fixture in the device itself for the data card to be inserted and so the question is- how do I get the data onto the Garmin.  How feeble- you get passed 50 and all just falls apart!

Remove the microSD card door on the back of the Edge.

It takes a microSD card. If you have in your hand an SD card have a look at the wide flat edge, furthest away from the contacts, and see if there is a microSD card in there. Push it and it should pop out. Then just pop the micro card into the 705.

  Be careful and don't force it as it will only fit one way!!! 

Mine says it is a SanDisk adapter.

Thanks everyone- got it.  The SD card has at its centre an even smaller card which fits the GPS.  Thanks for your help.
