up and away, tracker on just after 9:15am, I'm not far from where he is, overnight forecast was for sleet/rain around now until 11am but its a clear fresh morning with blue skies,
happy tailwind Steve

Looks like Steve missed the turning for Gonerby Services now the A1 is realigned and had to backtrack through Grantham. Whilst most of us would curse, it is a few extra miles at least.

been out for an hour and it felt like a first proper winters day today, hands are red from cold.
stay warm Steve and keep those miles ticking, chapeau!!!

Nice post from Steve's brother on Kurt's fb feed. I always knew the stories about his mother, but that's the first I've heard of a sibling.
Enjoy your day on the bike, ride far and safe.

I hope it's the tracker playing silly buggers coz the Ivan-o-Matic is showing Steve stopped in Grantham for three hours ???
-
Still there after 4 hours? Seems to either be the tracker or something is amiss?
-
Must be tracker problems.

Not tracker problems it seems, just needed a break. Moving now heading for home.

Had a ride out this morning to Saxilby, Lincolnshire. Waited at roadside, kept checking tracker and then he appeared!
A round of applause and a cheer from me, and then he was gone. A nice northerly on his back.
Then a car stopped to ask if I was ok and asked if I needed help! Which was nice, there are some good people out there. I then proceeded to tell them about Steve's World Record attempt, they drove off shaking their heads in disbelief! ;)
